ABC News kick offs its primetime coverage of the Royal Wedding with a definitive look at the fairytale romance of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, in a "Special Edition of 20/20 -- William & Catherine: A Modern Fairytale," anchored by Barbara Walters, airing MONDAY, APRIL 18 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

With home videos and rarely seen photographs from their childhoods and interviews with friends and Royal insiders, viewers are sure to learn things they never knew about the couple and their courtship. "William & Catherine: A Modern Fairytale" also includes an inside look at the planning of the wedding and the events that surround the ceremony, as the bride prepares for the biggest moment of her life� and one of the biggest television events of all time. India Hicks, a bridesmaid for Princess Diana's wedding, describes in detail the unforgettable experience of being part of the bridal party and being a backstage witness to history. Walters also gets behind-the-scenes details from Sir Malcolm Ross, who for more than 20 years planned the Royal Family's ceremonies.

ABC News Correspondent Nick Watt, a graduate from St. Andrews, the college where the Royal romance began, also contributes to the hour report.

Other interviews include Colleen Harris, former Press Secretary to Prince William and Prince Harry, Patrick Jephson, Princess Diana's Chief of Staff for six years, Katie Nicholl, journalist and author of William and Harry, Andrew Morton, author of Diana: Her True Story, Lady Pamela Hicks, a bridesmaid for Queen Elizabeth, as well as many others.
