There are an estimated six million hoarders in the United States - and while they suffer tremendously from the effects of this mysterious and devastating mental illness, their families also suffer along with them. In fact children of hoarders often spend a lifetime feeling ashamed, trapped and traumatized by the conditions of their home. In an eye-opening report, "20/20" looks at the children of hoarders, who come clean about the shame, resentment and lifelong secrets of growing up in such conditions. Elizabeth Vargas' report airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, AUGUST 5 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Also: "Everybody Loves Raymond" was a smash hit television show in the U.S., but what happened when Sony Pictures Television asked series creator Phil Rosenthal to go to Russia to oversee their adaption of his beloved creation? Rosenthal, along with original sitcom stars Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton, explain to "20/20's" Chris Connelly that what made Raymond's hen-pecked character in "Everybody Loves Raymond" funny and relatable in America doesn't seem to quite translate - or translate at all - in the masculine culture of Moscow. Rosenthal turned his comic adventures struggling with Russian writers, a head of comedy who didn't think the show was funny, a director who wouldn't listen to Rosenthal's notes and an over-the-top costume designer into an award-winning documentary, "Exporting Raymond," which is available on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, August 2nd.
