"EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION" IS THE ANSWER TO THE HILL FAMILY'S
PRAYERS WHEN THEY SPRING INTO ACTION IN VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA
"Hill Family" - Beverly Hill has a platinum heart to match her big ticket name. For more than 18 years she has opened up her home to over 35 foster children and leveraged her community by embarking on a mission to clothe and feed the homeless. After raising her two biological children, Beverly formally adopted six girls ranging in age from 9 to 18. Beverly's generous spirit is rooted in her home, and extends well into the foundation of her community. Unfortunately the Hill-Burdette home is beginning to fail and its faulty construction is jeopardizing their passion for giving back, on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. (Rebroadcast. OAD 4/24/11)
Beverly Hill and her husband, Fred Burdette, have encouraged, inspired and embraced the calling to build a family. Believing that every child deserves a happy childhood and a loving home, Beverly has lavished great strength and personal attention on her family. Moreover she has become a guardian angel in the community by feeding and clothing the homeless in the surrounding areas through an operation run out of the Hills' small, dilapidated home. Now "Extreme Makeover" paves the way for a new life with a deafening big rig demolition.
While the Hills go on vacation, John Littlefield and Xzibit coordinate a food drive to help fatten up Beverly's pantry. Meanwhile, the family will be treated to a little R&R when they visit Beverly Hills, California. Paige Hemmis arrives to show Beverly, Fred and the girls how to kick up their feet in style. When the Hills returns home, they'll discover that Old Dominion University, the volunteers and designers have been very busy putting a little muscle behind Beverly's goal of feeding the community.
Team leader Ty Pennington, designers Paige Hemmis, Xzibit and John Littlefield, along with local builders from Trademark Construction Inc., roll out the welcome mat for the Hills in this episode.
