In "The Other Longo," Joe's younger brother, Tony (Matthew Lawrence), shows up without any notice and asks to stay at the house. Things take a different turn once some photos Tony shoots of Mel wind up on the Internet.

In "Teacher/Teacher," after Ryder gets a bad grade on his history paper, Joe talks to the teacher, Mr. McKay, (Andrew Lawrence) in hopes of raising his grade, but manages to only make things worse. Distressed at how upset Ryder gets with him, Joe goes back to the teacher to sort things out. Meanwhile Mel tries to be the "cool aunt" by taking underage Lennox to a concert.
