PENNY'S PERPETUALLY OPTIMISTIC MOM (GUEST STAR MEGAN MULLALLY) PAYS A VISIT, ON ABC'S "HAPPY ENDINGS"

"Yesandwitch" - Penny's perpetually optimistic mom, Dana (Emmy-winner Megan Mullally), is in town for a singing gig at a boat show. Her enthusiasm inspires the gang, but when Penny finds out she's hiding some less-than-happy news, she decides it's time to give mom a reality check, on "Happy Endings," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Happy Endings" stars Eliza Coupe as Jane, Elisha Cuthbert as Alex, Zachary Knighton as Dave, Adam Pally as Max, Damon Wayans, Jr. as Brad and Casey Wilson as Penny.

"Yesandwitch" guest stars Megan Mullally as Dana, Angela de Silva as the hostess, Seth Morris as Scott, Mary Portser as tourist no. 1, Diane Sellers as tourist no. 2, Ron Lynch as tourist no. 3 and Rusty Burns as tourist no. 4 .

"Yesandwitch" was written by Leila Strachan and directed by Joe Russo.

"Happy Endings" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
