ABC NEWS ANNOUNCES SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos to Anchor Coverage of the State of the Union and the Republican Response Beginning at 9:00 p.m., ET on Tuesday, January 24

ABC News to Live-Stream Anchored Coverage on ABCNews.com, Yahoo! and OTUSNews.com

ABC News will broadcast President Barack Obama's State of the Union address live on TUESDAY, JANUARY 24. Coverage will begin at 9:00 p.m., ET (6:00 p.m., PT) and will include the Republican response to be given by Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos will anchor live coverage from Washington, where they will be joined by members of ABC's powerhouse political team including senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper, senior political correspondent Jonathan Karl, senior political analyst Matthew Dowd, ABC News contributors Donna Brazile and editorial director for the National Journal Group Ron Brownstein, as well as the Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan.

On Tuesday, Diane Sawyer will anchor "World News" from Washington, DC. After the speech, Terry Moran will anchor "Nightline" from Washington. The following morning, "Good Morning America" will bring viewers all the highlights of the President's speech, plus reaction and analysis.

ABC News Digital will stream live coverage of the President's address and the Republican response, co-anchored by "Nightline" anchor Terry Moran, ABC News political director Amy Walter and Yahoo! News' Washington bureau chief David Chalian on ABCNews.com, OTUSNews.com and Yahoo.com. ABC News' team of political correspondents will provide extensive reporting throughout the night at ABCNews.com and OTUSNews.com.

ABC News Radio will provide extensive coverage of the State of the Union Address and the Republican response starting at 9:00 p.m., ET anchored by ABC News correspondent Cheri Preston, with ABC News White House correspondent Ann Compton, ABC News correspondent Vic Ratner on Capitol Hill and ABC News political analyst Steve Roberts. Prior to the President's address, ABC News Radio will provide a one-hour special at 8:06 p.m., ET that examines issues President Obama is expected to discuss.

ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news service, will provide live reports from Karen Travers on Capitol Hill for more than 200 ABC affiliates and clients.
