ABC'S "WIPEOUT" LIVES UP TO ITS NAME AS CONTESTANTS FACE CHALLENGING OBSTACLES INCLUDING SURF'S UP, WIPEOUT SUBWAY CAR AND THE CAREGROUNDS

"Rats!" - Surf's up as another batch of 24 eager contestants will hang ten on this episode of "Wipeout." Grandma's Little Helper, Groovy Gillis and The Dental-man contend with a subway full of rats as they make their way through this week's action packed qualifier. Only the top three contestants with the fastest times through the course will battle it out in the Wipeout Zone, where one will emerge a champion, and $50,000 richer. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Vanessa Lachey (ABC's "True Beauty"), "Wipeout" airs THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Each week, 24 energetic new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!

"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" "Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Shye Sutherland, Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J.
