OUTRAGEOUS CONTESTANTS ENCOUNTER THE WIPEOUT SALOON,
CACTUS CHAOS AND THE SPIN PSYCHO, ON ABC'S "WIPEOUT"
"Showdown at the Wipeout Saloon" - In this episode, "Wipeout's" oversized cowboy gunslinger, Toby, takes aim at contestants making their run through the all-new Qualifier. The Eat, Pray Lover and the Pianist battle it out with Harry Hotter and Cranky Pants as they're flipped around on the Spin Psycho before a prickly patch is unleashed on all who try to overcome the Cactus Chaos. Only the final three players will go on to the most challenging obstacle of them all, the Wipeout Zone, and in the end only one will emerge a champion and $50,000 richer. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Vanessa Lachey (ABC's "True Beauty"), "Wipeout" airs THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
Each week, 24 energetic new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!
"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" "Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Shye Sutherland, Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J.
