"Fireheart/Terry" - Karina Fireheart, a Pagan mom who practices witchcraft, and Sabrina Terry, the doting mother of a champion tap dancer, trade lives for two weeks on "Wife Swap," THURSDAY, APRIL 25 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Note: This episode was scheduled to air on May 2. It is now replaced on that date by "Markiewicz/Zusin."

In "Wife Swap," two mothers of families, each with opposing values, trade households, lifestyles and children (but not bedrooms) in a two week-long challenge: In the first part of the exchange, each mom moves into the other's home and agrees to follow a manual of "household rules" written by the departing mother, including how to parent, manage their social life, do house work, unwind and more. Everything changes in the second week when "new mommy" takes charge, introduces her own set of rules and runs the "nest" her way. At the end of the second week, the two couples meet for the first time in a raw and highly-charged exchange of views, making frank assessments of one another and discussing the experience.

Karina Fireheart lives in Salem, MA with her husband, Arana, and their two sons, Tallon (17) and Kele (7). The Firehearts are Pagans who practice witchcraft together in their Civil War era home. With tenants residing on the first floor, the family live upstairs in a cramped and cluttered apartment with no doors between rooms -- including to the bathroom. Their home is filled with shrines, symbols and objects of worship, all of which the Firehearts say are misunderstood by the general public. No one gets special treatment in the Fireheart home, and everyone contributes equally to the household.

Sabrina Terry lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her husband, Robert, and their World-Champion tap dancing son, "Little" Robert (13.) Sabrina is a doting wife and mother who pampers her husband to the point of dressing him in the morning and cutting up his meat at mealtime, and she is also solely responsible for the cooking and cleaning. The Terry home is filled with trophies, plaques and medals that "Little" Robert has won. Sabrina and Robert expect nothing but excellence from their son in everything he does, but most importantly during his dance practice. Robert trains him two hours every evening, wielding harsh criticism and a long stick to keep "Little" Robert in line and on his tap toes.

When Karina meets her new family, she tells them that she is a Pagan, a fact that surprises the Terrys and makes for an awkward start to the swap. Robert and his son are unsure how things will go, as they don't know what to make of Karina's witchcraft ways. But sparks fly almost immediately; despite following Sabrina's manual, Karina can do no right when it comes to pleasing Robert, who criticizes everything she does. And when it's time for the rules to change, Karina turns the tables on Robert, which produces an interesting and eye-opening breakthrough for him and "Little" Robert.

Back in Salem, Sabrina is confused and even a little scared by all of the Pagan objects in the Fireheart home, making her wonder if she's swapping with a family of devil worshipers. But when Sabrina meets her new family and shares her concerns, Arana assures her that this is not the case and sheds some light on the Pagan religion. Soon enough, however, Sabrina is once again frightened when the family bring her to their local Pagan temple for a "welcome ceremony," taking her way out of her comfort zone. When the rules change, Sabrina looks forward to bringing some organization to the home, working with Aran to de-clutter his office. But it's not all smooth sailing, especially when Sabrina shares her true feelings about their religion. Still, she leaves the Fireheart family a permanent reminder of her stay, one that Karina is sure to enjoy.

"Wife Swap" is produced by Zodiak USA. Mike Gamson and Bruce Toms serve as executive producers. It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HD format, with 5.1-channel sound. This program carries a TV-PG, L parental guideline.
