HOST JOHN HENSON HAS THOUGHT OF SOME WILD NEW IDEAS FOR CONTESTANTS YOU HAVE TO SEE TO BELIEVE, INVOLVING SENIOR CITIZENS, KIDS, MIMES AND ANIMALS, ON ABC'S "WIPEOUT"

"Senior Citizens, Kids and Convicts" - You won't want to miss John Henson's slew of wild ideas for contestants, which involve senior citizens, kids, mimes, animals and convicts, among others. Meanwhile, players including Bluegrass Boy, Health Nut and Danger Zone will have to conquer the Killer Croc and bust out of Wipeout's Jail during their mad dash on the Qualifier. Finally, our players will have to fend off pestering Pigeons in the Wipeout City before moving on to the all-new Wipeout Zone in hopes of securing the $50,000 grand prize. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Jill Wagner (MTV's "Teen Wolf"), "Wipeout" airs THURSDAY, MAY 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Wipeout" has successfully taped over 100 episodes, a feat we'll be celebrating all season long. In addition, the series recently won the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show for the second year in a row.

Each week, 24 energetic new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!

"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("101 Ways to Leave a Game Show," "Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA.
