ABC'S "WIPEOUT" IS BACK WITH SOME EXTREME BONDING TIME
AS FAMILY MEMBERS TAKE TO THE COURSE AND COMPETE AS TEAMS
"Wipeout Family Values" -- In another true bonding (and bruising) experience, "Wipeout" features teams of two family members running the course together. After an ant infested experience on It's No Picnic, contestants face Aunt Patty Cake in the Wipeout Kitchen before moving on to Octopushy and narrowing the field of familial teams even further. Only the top two duos will go head to head in the Wipeout Zone, where one family will emerge as Wipeout Champions and $50,000 richer. "Wipeout," hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Jill Wagner (MTV's "Teen Wolf") airs THURSDAY, MAY 23 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
"Wipeout" has successfully taped over 100 episodes, a feat we'll be celebrating all season long. In addition, the series recently won the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show for the second year in a row.
Each week, 24 energetic contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head in four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of Wipeout Champion and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!
Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("101 Ways to Leave a Game Show," "Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA.
