05/30/2013 (08:30PM - 09:00PM) (Thursday) : BETH AND TOM PAY A VISIT TO CARLY IN THE HOSPITAL - BETH BECOMES OBSESSED WITH HEALING AN INJURED SQUIRREL - Beth (Anne Heche) and Tom (Michael Landes) visit a comatose Carly (Alexandra Breckenridge) in the hospital. When they hit a squirrel on the way home, Beth becomes obsessed with saving it, going to great lengths to help the animal despite the objections of her husband and friends. Later - it becomes clear to all that the squirrel is a symbol of something much more important in Beth's life. Heather Burns, Joy Osmanski and Madison Davenport also star.

(from NBC's press release, April 2013) Anne Heche stars in the comedy "Save Me," which is set to debut Thursday, May 23 (8 and 8:30 p.m. ET) with two back-to-back episodes. Heche portrays a Midwestern mom and wife who undergoes a spiritual awakening after suffering a near-death experience. From Sony Pictures Television and Original Film, "Save Me" was created by John Scott Shepherd, who executive produces with director Scott Winant ("Breaking Bad," "True Blood"), Neal H. Moritz, Vivian Cannon and Alexa Junge.
