When divorced mother of two Nancy Tyler met successful TV producer Richard Shenkman, she thought she had finally found the man of her dreams. Shenkman married Tyler, adopted her two children, and together they built a comfortable life in an upscale Connecticut community. But several years into the marriage, Shenkman's controlling and abusive behavior proved to be too much for Tyler. She thought divorce would be the end of her shattered dream, but the nightmare was only just beginning. Refusing to accept the divorce, Shenkman went on a violent rampage, stalking Tyler, even burning their beach house to the ground before kidnapping her at gun point and holding her hostage in the home they once shared. Will Nancy Tyler ever truly be free?
