Never-before-seen footage of the women moving into the iconic mansion; Rare look at what it takes to plan one of the one-on-one dates

Join host Chris Harrison in a one-hour special edition of "The Bachelor" entitled "The Bachelor: Behind the Scenes," airing SUNDAY, JANUARY 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). With this special, viewers will get more in-depth behind-the-scenes of what transpired during production of Juan Pablo Galavis' season.

Things get started with a bang on board the "Bachelor Bus" where Harrison and Galavis surprise fans of Bachelor Nation by crashing fun-filled "Bachelor" viewing parties and get the surprise of their lives when the men show up on their doorsteps. And then, viewers will get an emotionally charged behind-the-scenes look at the day after the first rose ceremony where 9 women were eliminated from contention, must pack up their things and head back home. Now, each woman must deal with the reality of rejection. It is a raw, never-before-seen inside look at what happens after the Bachelor has handed out all of the roses, but before he begins going on spectacular dates with the women he has chosen.

Later, for the first time ever, viewers will also get to see extended footage of the 18 women as they move into the iconic mansion. Cameras follow the bachelorettes as they unpack and explore their lavish new home and get to know their competition. Soon, the countdown to the first date with Juan Pablo begins, something Juan Pablo has been planning with producers for months to ensure a magical event!

A talented team of producers and crew turn a hot dusty California field into a magical, snowy winter wonderland for Juan Pablo's first date! How do they do it? And in a first ever behind the scenes look, we're going to show you how we turn a simple idea for a date into a magical romantic fantasy come true. Before going out on the date, Juan Pablo takes his adorable daughter Camila to this first date location where workers are putting finishing touches on this winter wonderland with snow blowers and blocks of ice. Camila takes a spin on the private ice-skating rink with her dad and is thrilled to see snow for the very first time.

We also get a more in-depth look at a few of the amazing women that received a rose the first night and will be dating our Bachelor. Find out why these lovely ladies believe Juan Pablo is the perfect man to possibly spend a lifetime with. As a very special bonus, viewers will get a sneak peek at the second episode of the Bachelor, which airs the following day on MONDAY, JANUARY 13, and also the rest of the exciting season of "The Bachelor."

DESCRIPTION:
(from ABC's press release, November 2013) Juan Pablo Galavis, the sexy single father from Miami, Florida, is ready to find love. He'll have his own opportunity to find his wife and stepmother to his daughter when he stars in the 18th edition of "The Bachelor." With his Spanish accent, good looks, salsa moves and undying devotion for his daughter, Juan Pablo, 32, was a fan favorite on the ninth edition of "The Bachelorette." Sadly, Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock couldn't see a future with Juan Pablo and sent him home from Barcelona. Although he was blindsided by not getting a rose, the experience of being on "The Bachelorette" opened his eyes to the possibility of finding a real, everlasting love. He witnessed firsthand how it worked with Desiree, and has decided that he can't give up on love and on giving his daughter, Camila, what she wants more than anything else in the world - a brother and a sister to complete their family. Juan Pablo is ready and hopeful that he'll find love and the missing puzzle piece to fulfill his family here on "The Bachelor." Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers.
