04/01/2014 (08:00PM - 09:01PM) (Tuesday) : THE BATTLES ROUND TWO CONTINUE - THE COACHES ENLIST COLDPLAY FRONTMAN CHRIS MARTIN TO PREPARE THEIR ARTISTS FOR THE FINAL ROUND OF BATTLES - The new second phase of "battle rounds" continue and the coaches enlist the help of music industry veteran Chris Martin. In this phase, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet of a song chosen by the artists. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest, and has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. Each coach has one steal during these intensified battle rounds. Carson Daly ("Last Call with Carson Daly") hosts.

DESCRIPTION: (from NBC's press release, June 2015) Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have been announced as the season nine coaches and Carson Daly as host for NBC's Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice." The ninth season will begin in September. "With such an astounding group of coaches at the peak of their musical ingenuity and Carson returning as our host, we are thrilled for what season nine will bring," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "The expertise and camaraderie of this panel will provide an immeasurable experience for the artists and must-see entertainment for all who are watching." Levine and Shelton have been "Voice" coaches since the series inception in 2011. Season nine will mark the third season for Williams and the second for Stefani.
