As production winds down on her film, Em undergoes prosthetic makeup to make her look older, adding to her insecurities. Visiting the set to talk to Doll (Dolly Wells) about becoming his new assistant, Andy Garcia is surprised when she tells him she's leaving for London to do a screen test - for a role that Em (Emily Mortimer) failed to land. The revelation drives a stake between the two friends, who part ways after an emotional confrontation.

DESCRIPTION:
(from HBO's press release, December 2014) DOLL & EM, the comedy series starring Emily Mortimer (HBO's "The Newsroom") and Dolly Wells ("Bridget Jones's Diary"), will return for a second season on HBO. Guest stars on the six-episode season, currently in production in New York, include Ewan McGregor, Olivia Wilde, Evan Rachel Wood and Mikhail Baryshnikov. The new season will again be directed by Azazel Jacobs and produced by Alessandro Nivola with Kevin Comer under Nivola and Mortimer's King Bee label. BAFTA winner Andrew Eaton will executive produce along with Lucy Lumsden, the show's commissioner for Sky. DOLL & EM is an original production from UK broadcaster BSkyB and will premiere on Sky Living in the UK.
