ACADEMY AWARD(R)-WINNING RAPPER DJ PAUL AND FORMER
NFL WIDE RECEIVER PLAXICO BURRESS ARE FEATURED ON THE
SEASON FINALE OF ABC'S "CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP," TUESDAY, JULY 29
"'DJ Paul / Plaxico Burress" - Academy Award-winning rapper DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia and former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress are featured on the SEASON FINALE of ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap," TUESDAY, JULY 29 (10:00- 11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Rapper DJ Paul is one half of the rap duo Three 6 Mafia who won an Oscar for their hit single "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" from movie "Hustle and Flow." Today, DJ Paul lives in Las Vegas, NV with his fiance Majda and son Nautica. DJ Paul loves to entertain and has family and friends over regularly for backyard barbecues with drinks, music and loud conversations flowing late into the evenings. DJ Paul spends a lot of time in the studio recording where Majda hangs out with his crew before hitting up "The Strip" until the wee hours of the morning. A recent high school graduate, Nautica is given a lot of freedom at home - no chores and no responsibilities -- allowing him to spend the majority of his time playing video games.
Former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress lives in New Jersey with his wife Tiffany and their two children, Elisha (7) and Giovanna (4), where Tiffany is a partner in a law firm and CEO of her own maternity clothing line. Recovering from a rotator cuff injury, Plaxico likes to spend his free time downstairs in his "man cave" alone. Tiffany is responsible for the running of the household, including all of the cooking and cleaning. She also takes the lead in terms of childcare.
When Majda arrives in New Jersey, she recognizes she's in the suburbs where there doesn't seem to be a lot of nightlife activity. When she meets Plaxico and the kids, Majda is unsure about how she will do taking care of two children as she has no children of her own and hopes her former babysitting experiences will have given her enough training for the task ahead. During the swap, Majda feels Plaxico needs to spend more time with the family and not downstairs in his "man cave" all the time. Back in Las Vegas, Tiffany finds living with DJ Paul difficult and is immediately taken out of her comfort zone with his hard partying ways. From late nights in the recording studio to cocktails and clubbing until early morning hours, Tiffany wants DJ Paul to slow down and also put more of an interest in Nautica's education and future plans.
When it's time for the rules change, Majda turns Plaxico's "man cave" into a "family cave" where everyone can spend time together. Tiffany gets DJ Paul to spend some quiet time at home and brings DJ Paul and Nautica to a local college for a tour to get Nautica and his dad thinking more about the future and plans after high school.
"Celebrity Wife Swap" features two women of celebrity families trading households, lifestyles and children (but not bedrooms) for one week. During that time, the women - and swap families - learn what it is like to live in someone else's shoes, but everything changes during the second half of the week when the women make their own rules and get the chance to run the household their way. At the end of the week, the couples reunite for a raw, honest and highly-charged exchange of views in which they make frank assessments of one another and discuss the experience.
"Celebrity Wife Swap" is produced by Zodiak Los Angeles. Bruce Toms and Tony Yates serve as executive producers. It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HD format, with 5.1-channel sound. This program carries a TV-PG, L parental guideline.
