"THE SELL GAME" ON "20/20"

"20/20" reports on the skills, tricks, and mind games some of the best - and worst - salesmen in the business use to come between you and your cash. "The Sell Game" airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Reports include:

· "Shark Tank's" Robert Herjavec reveals some classic techniques and mind games the best salesmen deploy to seal the deal, from the "Standing Room Only" to the "Artisan." What will happen when three job-hungry trainees undergo tutelage from Herjavec and try to sell some of his partner company's tacky holiday sweaters as he gives live coaching through an earpiece? It's a can't miss "20/20" experiment! Hannah Storm reports.

· There's a knock at the door - it's a salesman trying to sell you a home security system to protect you from thieves. But is he the bigger threat to your wallet? Brian Ross with a hidden camera investigation into an industry tarred with complaints of misdeeds and misrepresentation.

· As the nation's largest retailer of used vehicles, CarMax advertises that each of the used vehicles it offers for sale is "CarMax Quality Certified" and has undergone a rigorous "125+ point inspection." But a former CarMax manager alleges that vehicles with major problems made it through the inspection process and were sold to customers. "20/20" also went undercover to see what CarMax's sales reps disclose about the accident history of vehicles and whether important safety recall repairs have been performed before selling them. Gio Benitez reports.

· Asia Newson is known as Detroit's Youngest Entrepreneur. At just 11 years old, she makes and sells her own candles under her business "Super Business Girl." She started around the age of five, learning how to make candles from her parents. But her real talent comes with the selling. Asia shares her selling secrets with "20/20." Jay Schadler reports on the bubbly personality that is taking Detroit by storm.
