SARAH MAKES MULTIPLE MISTAKES ON HER RESUME
THAT COULD COST HER GETTING ANY OFFERS
ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF ABC FAMILY'S REALITY SERIES
"JOB OR NO JOB," AIRING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26 AT 9PM ET/PT
Burbank, CA (August 7, 2015) - Sarah commits a major faux pas when she has multiple typos on her resume in an all-new episode of ABC Family's new reality series "Job or No Job," airing Wednesday, August 26 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
"Job or No Job" follows one young adult per episode on his/her journey to land a first job in their chosen career. Each candidate will go on three interviews and viewers will follow along to find out if s/he lands three, two, one - or zero offers. Jane Buckingham (Founder and CEO of Trendera and bestselling author of The Modern Girls Guide to Life) will be the Career & Lifestyle expert (a.k.a. The "Fairy Jobmother"), dispensing advice on how to learn from their mistakes, where to shop and eat, how to get around town, where to find housing, and the realities of entering the job market.
Sarah Ruhlman a part time teacher and blogger, leaves her friends and family behind in Kansas City to head to New York to interview with three successful online magazines. In her first interview with Laura Frerer-Schmidt, Vice President and Publisher of Women's Health Magazine, Sarah makes the fatal mistake of putting the word "objection" instead of "objective" on her resume.
Later, she interviews with Jennifer Bogo, the Executive Editor of Popular Science Magazine. Jennifer discovers not just one more typo but multiple typos, and puts her to the test in brainstorming ideas around robots.
Finally, she meets with Mark Ryan Founder of Apartment Therapy who puts her on the spot by asking her to come up with a cheap, fun, DIY holiday gift for clients.
Jane, while discouraged by Sarah's unprofessional resume, is convinced that New York is where Sarah needs to be if she wants to get her life and her career started. But can she convince Sarah?
"Job or No Job" is produced by Studio Lambert/All3Media America. Stephen Lambert, Eli Holzman, Greg Goldman and Sara Quick serve as executive producers.
