SEASON FINALE OF AWARD-WINNING "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" AIRS FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 AT 9:00 P.M. ON ABC

When People See a Situation that Cries Out for Action, Do They Step Up and Say Something or Step Away?

When you think no one is watching... what would you do? Using hidden cameras, "What Would You Do?" establishes everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions. Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Quiones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. "What Would You Do?" airs FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Friday, August 28 scenarios include:

· A blind man at a café asks a fellow diner to verify how much cash he has. The diner says the blind man has four dollars when in fact, he has four $20 bills - and she pockets most of his money. How will bystanders react?

· A group of teens are humiliating a homeless man on the boardwalk, promising to give him money if he earns it by doing what they ask. How will bystanders react?

· What happens when a young man is told that he shouldn't be buying clothes at a Newark, New Jersey fashion boutique specializing in urban wear - just because he's white? How will fellow shoppers react? (OAD: 6/20/14)

· It is one of the oldest carnival tricks in the book: a man will ask to guess your weight, height or age for a small fee. If he guesses wrong you get a prize, but if he guesses right he pockets the fee and you leave empty handed. But what if the game took it a bit too far and the "What Would You Do?" carnival worker did not just stop at guessing but actively tried to insult the contestants? How will bystanders react? (OAD: 8/8/14)

Season to date, "What Would You Do?" has ranked No. 1 in its Friday 9:00 p.m. time slot in all key Adults demos (A18-34/A18-49/A25-54). The show is up over last summer by 5% in Total Viewers. In fact, growing for the 2nd straight year, the ABC program is drawing its largest overall audience in the 3 years it has aired during the summer (since 2013).

"What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change award for exposing "injustice and wrongdoing against women and bring the issue of domestic violence to the mainstream."
