"20/20" HAS THE FIRST INTERVIEW WITH MISSING CALIFORNIA MOM'S HUSBAND AFTER SHE WAS FOUND THREE WEEKS LATER ON THANKSGIVING DAY
"20/20" AIRS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 (10:00 - 11:00 P.M., ET) ON ABC
"20/20" has the first interview with Keith Papini, husband of California mom, Sherri Papini, whose disappearance made national headlines. Sherri vanished on November 2, 2016 while jogging on Sunrise Drive in Redding, CA. Her husband Keith says he knew something was wrong when she didn't pick their two children up from day care and reported her missing. Then three weeks later, on Thanksgiving Day, Sherri was found bound and injured on the side of the road 150 miles from home where her alleged captors left her. ABC News Correspondent Matt Gutman also speaks with Sherri's sister, Sheila Koester. In addition, the report includes interviews with Alison Sutton, the woman who found Sherri; Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko; family friend Jack Cissney and more. "20/20" airs on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
As soon as Sherri went missing her family was certain she had been kidnapped. Keith was able to locate her cellphone on the side of the road with her headphones attached and a few strands of blonde hair. Since being set free, Sherri has told authorities that she was held captive by two women who appeared to be Hispanic. Authorities are currently searching for these alleged captors and continue to investigate the case.
"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir. David Sloan is senior executive producer.
