THE STUDENTS TAKE A STAND UNTIL THEIR CONCERNS ABOUT RACISM ON CAMPUS ARE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF 'SWITCHED AT BIRTH,' AIRING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28

Special Episode Seen Entirely From the Point of View of Three African-American Students

A special episode of "Switched at Birth" follows the points of view of African-American students, Sharee, Iris and Chris, as racial tensions on campus reach a boiling point. It airs TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 (9:01 - 10:02 p.m. EST), on Freeform.

In "Occupy Truth," with tensions running at an all-time high, the Black Student Union takes a stand against the university administration until their demands are heard. Told in three chapters from the varying perspectives of Sharee, Iris and Chris, the students deal with their frustrations in different ways. Iris (guest star Sharon Pierre-Louis, "The Lying Game") pledges to continue her hunger strike until the students responsible for a racist display outside the Black Student Union are expelled, but her commitment has consequences on her health. Sharee (guest star Bianca Bethune, "Bad Boys II") faces the pain of her own past as she tries to gather signatures and rally more students to get involved. Chris (guest star Sam Adegoke, upcoming "Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland") is torn between wanting to dazzle several baseball scouts at an upcoming game and standing with his fellow students to show solidarity.

"Occupy Truth" was written by Talicia Raggs & Lizzy Weiss and directed by Jeff Byrd.

Peabody Award-winner "Switched at Birth" is executive produced by Lizzy Weiss ("Blue Crush"), Paul Stupin ("Dawson's Creek," "Make It or Break It"), and Linda Gase ("ER," "Army Wives"). The series stars Katie Leclerc as Daphne Vasquez, Vanessa Marano ("Gilmore Girls") as Bay Kennish, Constance Marie ("George Lopez") as Regina Vasquez, D.W. Moffett ("Friday Night Lights") as John Kennish, Lea Thompson ("Back to the Future," "Caroline in the City") as Kathryn Kennish; Lucas Grabeel ("High School Musical") as Toby Kennish, with guest stars Sean Berdy as Emmett Bledsoe and Marlee Matlin ("The West Wing") as Melody Bledsoe.
