NEW YORK, NY - April 21, 2017 -- Donald Trump's presidency has unleashed a wave of protest and activism among progressives and Democratic leaders, and THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE BIGGEST STORY ON EARTH this week explores how the movement to thwart the new administration has taken shape across America. In this season's sixth episode, "The Resistance," airing Sunday, April 23 at 8 p.m. on SHOWTIME, co-hosts Mark Halperin, John Heilemann and Mark McKinnon speak to some of the most influential anti-Trump voices in politics and popular culture to discover what motivates them, what they hope to accomplish, and what "resistance" means to them.

Featured in the episode are two of Trump's most outspoken critics and liberal icons, Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Heilemann accompanies Sanders and Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez as they embark on a cross-country tour to cultivate the party's grassroots.
