ALL NEW EPISODES OF THE ACCLAIMED ITALIAN CRIME SERIES "GOMORRAH" AIR ON SUNDANCE TV BACK-TO-BACK ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 3 AT 10/9C

Two all new episodes of SundanceTV's acclaimed Italian crime series, "GOMORRAH" air back-to-back on Wednesday, May 3 at 10/9C. Italy's most popular television series of all time, "GOMORRAH" is based on the best-selling book by journalist Roberto Saviano. The novel has sold over 10 million copies worldwide and inspired the film Gomorrah, which won the 2008 Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. In the third and fourth episodes, "The Tears of the Virgin/Under the Skin," back in Naples, a new reign has formed since the Savastano clan was pushed out. Conte's contacts in Spain have conveniently placed him at the top of the chain, selling merchandise to the other members of the Alliance at a premium rate. Ciro is the first to realize this system only benefits Conte. Meanwhile, Pietro is getting closer to his hideout in Naples, but stops to visit Imma's grave for the very first time.

Based on the book by Roberto Saviano, "GOMORRAH" picks up moments after the end of the first season: Pietro has escaped from the prison van; Genny's boys have been downed in Conte's ambush; and Ciro has shot Genny. The era of the Savastano clan, which once reigned supreme over Naples, seems to be definitively over, and many compete for what was once the Savastano Empire. Only one thing is certain: the future will belong to the one who can tighten the bonds of power most forcefully. Produced by Sky Atlantic, Cattleya and Fandango in association with La7 and Beta Film, "GOMORRAH" is written by Stefano Bises and directed by Stefano Sollima, Francesca Comencini and Claudio Cupellini.
