IN THE FIRST LIVE EPISODE OF THE SEASON, 15 YOUNG VOCALISTS PERFORM
#1 SONGS, AND AMERICA DECIDES WHO WILL STAY AND WHO WILL GO,
ON ABC'S 'BOY BAND'
"Live Live Live!" - In the first LIVE episode of the season, "Boy Band" will celebrate #1 song, opening the show with a tribute to the greatest boy bands of all time. Then we will follow three new groups of five as they rehearse and prepare to perform LIVE before architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland. The architects are then faced with the arduous task of selecting the bottom two contestants who will perform "battle songs" before America, hoping to earn a majority of votes that will keep them in the competition. Audiences at home will vote live to determine which young vocalist is safe and will continue on their journey to stardom, on "Boy Band," airing on THURSDAY, JULY 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

In "Boy Band," undiscovered young talent from across the country battle it out to become a member of the next great music sensation. Hosted by singer Rita Ora, the 10-episode series will chronicle the journey of young male vocalists who will compete for a chance to show the world that they have what it takes to win a coveted spot in America's next great boy band and receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records. And for the first time ever, viewers at home will vote for their favorite five band members, live, creating a group America can truly call its own.
Viewers may cast their vote through iPowow's mobile voting platform at abc.com/boyband, or via SMS from their mobile device. Additionally, viewers will be able to take part in live "Boy Band" trivia and games, extending the experience of the show through multiple screens.
