"Here Comes The Governor" - As the mayor's office plans a tour for the governor of California's official visit to Fort Grey, an old rap video of Courtney resurfaces that puts potential funding for their city in jeopardy, leaving Courtney and his staff to make a decision to stay true to himself or issue an apology. Meanwhile, Dina finds herself in an unwanted competition with her friend Krystal, on "The Mayor," TUESDAY, NOV. 14 (9:30-10:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.

The series stars Brandon Micheal Hall as Courtney Rose, Lea Michele as Valentina Barella, Bernard David Jones as Jermaine Leforge, Marcel Spears as T.K. Clifton and Yvette Nicole Brown as Dina Rose.

Guest starring Tom Wilson as Governor Fillucci and Wendy Raquel Robinson as Krystal.

"Here Comes The Governor" was written by Monica Padrick and was directed by Tristram Shapeero.

"The Mayor" was created by Jeremy Bronson ("Speechless," "The Mindy Project," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"). Jeremy Bronson, Daveed Diggs (Tony(R) winner for Broadway's "Hamilton"), Jamie Tarses ("Happy Endings") and James Griffiths ("black-ish") also serve as executive producers. DESCRIPTION:
(from ABC's press release, May 2017) Young rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall) needs his big break. For years, he's toiled away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his junk-filled bedroom closet. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century: Running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. Unfortunately for Courtney, his master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: An election victory. With the help of his mother (Yvette Nicole Brown, "Community") and friends, including Valentina ("Glee's" Lea Michele), Courtney will have to overcome his hubris if he wants to transform the struggling city he loves.
