"48 HOURS" SATURDAY DOUBLE FEATURE

Saturday, July 27

48 HOURS: "The Mysterious Death of Casey Kasem" - 9:00 PM, ET/PT

Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS explore the ongoing family feud that began even before the death of radio legend Casey Kasem more than five years ago between his wife, Jean Kasem, and his three adult children, Kerri, Julie and Michael, in an encore of "The Mysterious Death of Casey Kasem" to be broadcast Saturday, July 27 (9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. After Kasem died on Father's Day, June 15, 2014, the feud turned nuclear as both sides accused each other of hastening his death, as they battled over his enormous estate and his final resting place. His wife, Jean Kasem, reveals to 48 HOURS her version of her husband's final days; battles allegations of murder in a lawsuit; and discusses a heated family feud. It's a battle that continues today.

48 HOURS: "Lorenzen Wright: No Defense" - 10:00 PM, ET/PT

CBS News special correspondent James Brown and 48 HOURS have breaking news in the hunt for who killed former superstar NBA player Lorenzen Wright in an updated encore of "Lorenzen Wright: No Defense" to be broadcast Saturday, July 27 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Wright was last heard on a 911 call in July 2010. He provided no details of who he was or where he was. A dispatcher heard repeated gunshots. Wright, who spent 13 years in the NBA, including several playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, was found nine days later in a highly wooded area. It's a case driven by police determined to find the killer or killers, and a family that pushed investigators to keep going when the trail went cold. It also took stunning turns and got a big boost seven years after the murder when a key piece of evidence was located in a Walnut, Miss., lake. Who killed Wright? This week, there was a guilty plea. 48 HOURS has the latest.
