NEW YORK, NY, October 25, 2019 - AXIOS, the news-breaking documentary series, continues its fall season SUNDAY, OCT. 27 (6:00-6:30 p.m. ET/PT). Two additional episodes will air November 3 and 10, exclusively on HBO.

The series is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners' streaming platforms.

As U.S. foreign policy continues to dominate headlines, Axios national political reporter Jonathan Swan travels to Baghdad for an exclusive interview with Iraqi President Barham Salih. In an in-depth and candid conversation, President Salih, who is a Kurd, discusses the situation in Syria, including the withdrawal of U.S. troops, President Trump's impact on the standing of the United States in the region, and Iraq's internal conflicts and protests.

Keeping in the international arena, Axios chief financial correspondent Felix Salmon secured the first extensive television interview with Bulgarian economist Kristalina Georgieva in her new role as the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, the global organization dedicated to securing financial stability and fostering economic cooperation around the world. The first IMF Managing Director from a formerly Communist country discuss the current political divide in the U.S., in light of the 2020 political campaign, and her vision for the IMF in an ever-changing world.

AXIOS also heads to Iowa, the heartland and epicenter of all things 2020, where Axios White House editor Margaret Talev speaks with California Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The two sit down for a candid conversation about politics, policy and what it means to be an African American woman running for President.

Plus, Axios energy reporter Amy Harder visits the only offshore wind farm in the U.S. to explore the potential of the energy source, as well as the challenges the industry faces. Harder speaks with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and looks at the impact President Trump has had on the industry. AXIOS ends this week with an internal Axios debate as Felix Salmon and Axios Markets Editor Dion Rabouin debate the severity of the next recession.

This week marks the midpoint for AXIOS' fall 2019 season, with more breaking news and brain-bending reporting ahead - including two additional seasons coming to HBO audiences in 2020 and 2021. AXIOS is a co-production of HBO Documentary Films, AXIOS and DCTV; executive produced by Jim VandeHei, Mike Allen, Roy Schwartz & Evan Ryan; directed and produced by Perri Peltz and Matthew O'Neill.
