Emma Bunton, Anthony 'Spice' Adams, Sherry Yard and Paul Hollywood Return in the American Adaptation of the U.K.'s Most-Watched Television Show

"Cake and Bread Week" - On your marks, get set, bake! Cake and bread are on the menu when 10 aspiring bakers from around the country step into the famous white tent to tackle the challenges of cake and bread in the two-hour season premiere of "The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition," THURSDAY, DEC. 12 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.

From sweet and savory cakes - including the surprise ingredient of olive oil - to baking bread for the man who literally wrote the book on the subject, these bakers put their best recipes and technical knowledge to task, all hoping to receive the coveted "Hollywood Handshake" and the title of "America's Best Amateur Baker."

The series, which is based on the U.K. hit "The Great British Baking Show," showcases bakers from around the country putting their best sweet and savory creations forward as they compete in holiday-themed challenges and eliminations all hoping to be named "America's Best Amateur Baker."

"The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition" is hosted by Spice Girl and television personality Emma Bunton and former NFL Chicago Bears defensive tackle Anthony "Spice" Adams. Three-time James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Sherry Yard and expert baker and bestselling cookbook author Paul Hollywood ("The Great British Baking Show") return to judge the decadent and delicious treats these bakers will create while sharing advice and commentary in regard to the bakers' technique and skill.
