After holding off Bagdá and Salvador, Evandro regains control of Morro do Dendê and Parque Royal, and in the process, gains dangerous new enemies from within the illegal gambling rackets. Also lurking in the shadows are Evandro's old adversaries Navarro and the IDI, who secretly plot to bring him down. Geise is seeking a quiet life in Paraguay for Aírton, far from the dangers in Brazil, but Evandro's absence weighs heavy on the family. In addition to her duties as a mom, Geise is pushed into an active role in Evandro's criminal enterprise as she oversees dealings with Neves, Navarro, and the Bolivian cartel. Morello, meanwhile, is forced to confront the problems in his life, both as an officer and as a father. Although he is suspended from the force over Gomes' death, the troubled detective's mind is focused on finding his daughter Inês and her boyfriend Afonso, who have disappeared after robbing Evandro for the second time.
