When the hit and run victim from one of Tess' (Dolly Lewis) former cases awakes from a coma, Sunny (Agam Darshi) encourages Tess to track down new leads even though she's no longer on the force. Tess' ex-partner Jake Campbell (Daniel Gillies) inherits Tess' case files along with a new partner, Leo Li (Tony Giroux), who is quick to dismiss the case as a dead end. As Tess makes progress, she discovers the incident is connected to a notorious unsolved murder. Meanwhile, Tess' best friend Matt (Jarod Joseph) encourages Tess to open up about her vision loss to Jake. Sunny, desperate to help Tess find leads, reveals her surprising financial situation and a dilemma on her doorstep - the very doorstep of her apartment that she is terrified to cross. (#102).
