A TRUE ARTIST - The 1980s's most recognizable leading man, who challenged Hollywood's very notion of masculinity and redefined what it meant to be the Sexiest Man Alive, Patrick Swayze was a man who was born to be either a Texan cowboy, prolific dancer, all-star athlete, or a true artist, who instead decided to be all of them. Featuring never-before-seen home videos, photographs and original interviews with those who knew Patrick best - including the illustrious co-stars of his biggest films - this documentary dives beyond his status as a sex symbol to reveal the complexities of an often-misunderstood movie star. From his ferocious drive to his most iconic roles and off-camera battles with alcohol and cancer, Patrick's family, friends and collaborators reflect on the life and legacy of the man they endearingly called Buddy. The documentary was written and directed by Adrian Buitenhuis. The CW original airdate 4/20/2024.

I AM was launched in 2012 with the release of I Am Bruce Lee. Quickly building off the film's tremendous success, a slate of feature documentaries was created under the I AM banner and launched the franchise with I Am Steve McQueen followed by films on Evel Knievel, Chris Farley, John F. Kennedy Jr., Heath Ledger, Sam Kinison, Martin Luther King Jr., Paul Walker, Richard Pryor, Patrick Swayze, Jackie O, Burt Reynolds and Alfred Hitchcock. The films feature incredible casts and A-list storytellers that have an authentic and profound connection to its subjects, a distinct cinematic sensibility and meticulously curated archival content.
