When a pillar of the local community is found dead at the charity he runs, Antonella's friend Vittoria is arrested on suspicion of his murder. Antonella asks Sylvia (Emilia Fox, The Pianist, Delicious) to help prove Vittoria's innocence - and sends Sylvia off on a trail of blackmail, family secrets, and illicit love. Though Vittoria is cleared of the murder and another criminal is brought to justice, Antonella is disappointed by Sylvia's failure to unmask the real killer. But Sylvia has uncovered the truth, and for honorable reasons, decides to keep it hidden.
