ABC News Programs Feature Special Editions, and ABC News Live, ABC Radio and ABC News Digital Have Been and Will Continue To Be in Rolling Live Coverage
ABC News announced today continuing special coverage of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and the deadly shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. "World News Tonight" anchor David Muir will anchor a one-hour primetime special, "Trump | Assassination Attempt: Minute by Minute," on Sunday, July 14, immediately after the network airs President Joe Biden's address to the nation from the Oval Office beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. President Biden's remarks will air at 5:00 p.m. PT, and the network special will air at 8:00 p.m. PT. Muir will be joined by chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce, chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas, chief Washington correspondent and "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl, chief global affairs correspondent and "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz, "World News Tonight" Saturday anchor and "Good Morning America" weekend co-anchor Whit Johnson, senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott, correspondent Aaron Katersky and executive editorial producer John Santucci.
Muir will anchor a special edition of "World News Tonight" tonight, Sunday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m., ET. This morning, co-anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan anchored a special edition of "Good Morning America," and Stephanopoulos also anchored a special edition of "This Week" with Karl. "Good Morning America, "World News Tonight with David Muir," "Nightline" anchored by Juju Chang and other ABC News programs and platforms will have special editions on Monday, July 15, and continue to cover the latest details throughout the week.
