The chefs must incorporate the iconic beer, Blue Moon, into their dishes and ensure that the bright flavors are at the forefront of their creations. With some chefs having more familiarity with the beverage than others, it's the ultimate battle to see who can execute the most impressive dish. Then, the winner from last week's challenge can pick a chef from any other generation to also gain immunity from this week's challenge in the "Beer Necessities" episode of MasterChef: Generations airing Sunday, August 25 (7:00-8:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (from FOX's web site, May 2025) Entering its 14th season with an all-new theme, MasterChef: Generations sees culinary titan Gordon Ramsay, acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and renowned restaurateur Joe Bastianich returning for the ultimate cook-off, as the top home cooks from four generations (Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers) battle it out. The home cooks will face a multitude of cooking trials, including a restaurant takeover challenge, a series of iconic Mystery Box challenges, cooking a meal at the Major League Soccer LAFC stadium, and the fan-favorite Tag Team event, where they must create a Michelin-star quality three-course meal! Only one home cook will win it all and take home the cash prize of $250,000 and the title of America’s MasterChef.
