DESCRIPTION: (from TNT's web site) Turner Network Television (TNT) is kicking drama into high gear with a new Original movie based on the amazing life of iconic daredevil EVEL KNIEVEL. George Eads (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) stars in the title role, with Jaime Pressly (Torque) as his wife. Lance Henriksen (Aliens) and Fred Dalton Thompson (Law & Order) also star. Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Beau Bridges (We Were the Mulvaneys, Without Warning: The James Brady Story) plays Knievel's supportive father-in-law in this dramatic story set to premiere on TNT in a special three-play weekend Friday, July 30, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT); Saturday, July 31, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT); and Sunday, Aug. 1, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). EVEL KNIEVEL comes to TNT from Icon Productions and Jaffe/Braunstein Films, Ltd., in association with ApolloProScreen. Bruce Davey serves as executive producer and Nancy Cotton as producer for Icon Productions; Michael Jaffe and Howard Braunstein serve as executive producers for Jaffe/Braunstein Films, Ltd.; Jan Korbelin serves as executive producer for ApolloProScreen; and Clara George serves as producer. John Badham (Bird on a Wire, Saturday Night Fever) directed the movie with a teleplay by Jason Horwitch, from the book Evel Incarnate: The Life and Legend of Evel Knievel by Steve Mandich. |
