(from Lifetime's press release, October 2011) Lifetime is set to premiere the original movie The Pastor's Wife, starring Rose McGowan (Conan the Barbarian, Nip Tuck) and Michael Shanks (Smallville, Burn Notice) in a film about the shotgun slaying of a small town minister and revelations of his dark secrets involving sex, lies and betrayal -- shocking his God-fearing community and changing it forever. The Pastor's Wife will debut on Saturday, November 5, at 8 pm ET/PT. Based on a true story that made national headlines, The Pastor's Wife centers on the 2006 death of Matthew Winkler (Shanks), a beloved minister and community leader who was mysteriously shot and killed in his Selmer, Tennessee, home. During their investigation, the authorities soon zero in on Matthew's wife, Mary (McGowan), as the crime's prime suspect. But why would Mary, a dutiful preacher's wife and young mother of three girls, kill her husband?
