BLANK SLATE (NBC) - Richard Shepard will direct and executive produce the drama pilot, from Dean Georgaris, John Davis and John Fox. (Deadline.com)
COMPUTER SCHOOL (HBO Max, New!) - Tim Robinson has scored a pilot order from the streamer for a new single-camera comedy about "a recent high school grad and his uncle (Robinson) attend the same computer class in suburban Michigan." Robinson and Zach Kanin created the project, which will be directed by Andrew Gaynord. Said effort was originally sold to Hulu with a penalty attached but ultimately found its way to HBO Max in turnaround. (Deadline.com)
FUTURAMA (Hulu) - John DiMaggio has closed a deal to reprise his signature voice role of Bender on the revival series. The actor was the lone holdout when the news about the project originally broke three weeks ago. (Deadline.com)
LORD OF THE RINGS, THE: THE RINGS OF POWER (Amazon) - Executive producer Callum Greene has signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios. The pact gives the company first crack at his and wife Sara Greene's Bright Greene banner's output. (Variety.com)
MISSING, THE (Peacock) - Barry Levinson has signed on to executive produce and direct multiple episodes, including the first, of David E. Kelley's upcoming drama. (Deadline.com)
MY BRILLIANT FRIEND (HBO) - Alba Rohrwacher will topline the show's proposed fourth and final season, taking over the role of Elena, aka Lenù. Margherita Mazzucco plays said the younger incarnation of the role in the current season. While in pre-production, the series has not been officially greenlit for said swan song. (Variety.com)
SANTA CLAUSE, THE (Disney+) - Jason Winer has signed on to direct and executive produce the limited series based on the feature film franchise. His Small Dog Picture Company partner Jon Radler will likewise executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNDER WRAPS 2 (Disney Channel) - Claude Knowlton and Antonio Cayonne have both scored roles on the sequel movie. Knowlton will play Pop, "Amy's warm, loving and understanding father, who is getting married to his fiancé, Carl (Cayonne), on Halloween. Carl clearly loves Amy like a daughter." (Deadline.com)
