(Amazon, New!) - Keith Sweet II has sold a new drama to Amazon MGM Studios in which "when a low-level Los Angeles gangster is assigned to protect one of the hottest rappers in the industry by the crime syndicate security company he works for, he has to learn to navigate both the bloodthirsty gang world and the glitz and glam of the celebrity scene." GUEST LIST, THE (Hulu, New!) - Liz Tigelaar is developing a limited series at the streamer based on Lucy Foley's novel, "set on a remote island off a rugged coast, where guests attend an elaborate celebrity wedding" where "the picture-perfect affair darkens as the guests and their shared histories dangerously collide - and then the lights go out. And a body is found." Stacey Silverman of Best Day Ever Productions will also executive produce for ABC Signature. (THR.com, 10/24)
I WAS A TEENAGE SMUGGLER (FX, New!) - Joanna Calo, Carlos López Estrada and Kevin Sieff are set to team for a half-hour comedy series based on the 2021 "This American Life" segment which "will follow a group of Mexican teens who thanks to a loophole in U.S. immigration law that prevents anyone under 18 from being prosecuted, are enlisted by cartels to smuggle migrants across the border. The teens soon find themselves making unfathomable amounts of money and living the lives of their dreams but with an ever-ticking clock until they are legally considered adults." Antigravity Academy's Estrada will also direct and executive produce alongside Estrada, Sieff, Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp. (Deadline.com, 10/25)
MONEY (Amazon, New!) - Curt Pires and Luca Casalanguida's graphic novel is being developed as a series by Amazon MGM Studios: "Everything you've heard about the global elite is true: Five families have ruled the world since time immemorial and every 10 years an election is held to see which powerful family will be the next to lead. To steer the direction of the world. To execute their vision of the future. And this is the story of what happens next." Pires and Karim Zreik are the executive producers. No writer is currently attached. (Variety.com, 10/24)

(Deadline.com, 10/24)
