ALL THE OTHER MOTHERS HATE ME (FX, New!) - Christopher Storer has landed a small screen take on Sarah Harman's upcoming book at the network about "an American woman who suspects her son may have killed a wealthy student at his West London private school." Josh Senior and Cooper Wehde will also executive produce for Storer's American Light & Fixture banner. (THR.com, 10/25)
ANANSI BOYS (Amazon) - Director/executive producer Douglas Mackinnon has exited Neil Gaiman's fantasy series, which wrapped filming back in May. (Deadline.com, 10/26)
CAROL & THE END OF THE WORLD (Netflix, New!) - Martha Kelly will star in an animated limited series at the streamer from Dan Guterman: "As a planetary apocalypse looms, a woman struggling to embrace end-times chaos searches for meaning in her last months on Earth." All 10 episodes will drop on December 15. Beth Grant, Lawrence Pressman, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Mel Rodriguez, Bridget Everett, Michael Chernus and Delbert Hunt also star in the project, with Guterman and Donick Cary executive producing for Bardel Entertainment and Kevin Arrieta as a co-executive producer. CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Tracy Spiridakos will exit the series as Hailey Upton following the upcoming 11th season. (Variety.com, 10/24)
DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Disney+) - Writer Dario Scardapane and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have all signed on the series, "which is in the midst of a creative overhaul." (THR.com, 10/27)
DON'T COME TO L.A. (Amazon, New!) - Keith Sweet II has sold a new drama to Amazon MGM Studios in which "when a low-level Los Angeles gangster is assigned to protect one of the hottest rappers in the industry by the crime syndicate security company he works for, he has to learn to navigate both the bloodthirsty gang world and the glitz and glam of the celebrity scene." Damani Johnson is also on board to executive produce, as are rapper-actor YG (Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson); Trevor Engelson and Josh McGuire of Underground; Scooter Braun, James Shin and Scott Manson of SB Projects; and Douglas Banker at Five All in the Fifth. FATAL ATTRACTION/RABBIT HOLE (Paramount+) - The streamer has axed both newcomers after their freshman runs. "We want to thank both series' entire creative teams, crews and the fantastic casts for their dedication to bringing these series to life," said the Paramount+ spokesperson. "Both Fatal Attraction and Rabbit Hole will continue to be available on Paramount+ for audiences to discover." (Deadline.com, 10/26)
GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, THE (Amazon) - Veena Sud has been tapped to spearhead the streamer's long-in-the-works TV take on Stieg Larsson's series of novels, which in turn have been the basis for multiple films. Amazon MGM Studios, Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television are co-producing. (Variety.com, 10/26)
GLOSSY (Amazon, New!) - Marisa Meltzer's book, subtitled "Ambition, Beauty and the Inside Story of Emily Weiss's Glossier," is being developed as a TV series by Amazon MGM Studios. Director Lindsey Anderson Beer, Alexandra Banks and Spencer Walken of Lab Brew are executive producing. The search is underway for a writer. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
GOOD OMENS (Amazon) - Options on the series' cast, including Michael Sheen and David Tennant, have been picked up, paving the way for a potential third season. Executive producer, director and co-showrunner Douglas Mackinnon however will not return. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
GUEST LIST, THE (Hulu, New!) - Liz Tigelaar is developing a limited series at the streamer based on Lucy Foley's novel, "set on a remote island off a rugged coast, where guests attend an elaborate celebrity wedding" where "the picture-perfect affair darkens as the guests and their shared histories dangerously collide - and then the lights go out. And a body is found." Stacey Silverman of Best Day Ever Productions will also executive produce for ABC Signature. (THR.com, 10/24)
I WAS A TEENAGE SMUGGLER (FX, New!) - Joanna Calo, Carlos López Estrada and Kevin Sieff are set to team for a half-hour comedy series based on the 2021 "This American Life" segment which "will follow a group of Mexican teens who thanks to a loophole in U.S. immigration law that prevents anyone under 18 from being prosecuted, are enlisted by cartels to smuggle migrants across the border. The teens soon find themselves making unfathomable amounts of money and living the lives of their dreams but with an ever-ticking clock until they are legally considered adults." Antigravity Academy's Estrada will also direct and executive produce alongside Estrada, Sieff, Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp. (Deadline.com, 10/25)
MONEY (Amazon, New!) - Curt Pires and Luca Casalanguida's graphic novel is being developed as a series by Amazon MGM Studios: "Everything you've heard about the global elite is true: Five families have ruled the world since time immemorial and every 10 years an election is held to see which powerful family will be the next to lead. To steer the direction of the world. To execute their vision of the future. And this is the story of what happens next." Pires and Karim Zreik are the executive producers. No writer is currently attached. (Variety.com, 10/24)
PRÊT-À-PORTER (Paramount+) - Development of Miramax's film-turned-TV series has shifted to the BBC as Paramount+ is no longer involved. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
TRUE CRIME, TRUE FAITH (Amazon, New!) - Julie Miller's Vanity Fair article, subtitled "The Serial Killer and the Texas Mom Who Stopped Him," is being developed as a television series by Amazon MGM Studios and Vanity Fair Studios. No auspices were given about the project, which "tells for the first time the full story of Margy Palm, a religious Texas mother who was abducted by serial killer Stephen Morin outside of a Kmart while shopping for Christmas gifts on December 11, 1981." UNTITLED NBA DOCUSERIES (Netflix, New!) - Omaha Productions, The SpringHill Company and Higher Ground Productions are developing a docuseries at the streamer modeled after the former's "Quarterback." Peyton Manning, LeBron James and Michelle and Barack Obama are among the featured auspices. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
