ALL THE SINNERS BLEED (Netflix) - Emmy winner Murray Bartlett has signed onto the upcoming drama as Scott Cunningham, "the chairman of the board of supervisors in the town." (Deadline.com, 10/27)
AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange will topline the franchise's 13th season. (@ryanmurphyproductions, 10/31)
BAD MONKEY (Apple TV) - Natalie Martinez's Rosa and Charlotte Lawrence's Caitlin will both return as regulars for the series' second season alongside Vince Vaughn's Andrew Yancy and John Ortiz's Rogelio. (Deadline.com, 10/28)

BOYS, THE/GEN V/GOLDEN AXE/S.W.A.T. EXILES/VOUGHT RISING (Various) - Original Film has closed a new overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, keeping its principals Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty at the studio for the foreseeable future. The company has been home to Sony since 2015. (Deadline.com, 10/30)
BRILLIANT MINDS (NBC) - Mädchen Amick will guest on the series' ninth episode this season as Alicia Ramati, "a strong-willed woman who wears her emotions on her sleeve, especially when it comes to her firefighting ex-husband, Matthew (Eric Dane). She's not afraid to state her opinion and care for the ones she loves." She'll also direct the show's seventh episode this season. (Variety.com, 10/28)
DANGEROUS LIAISONS (Netflix, New!) - Nicôle Lecky is spearheading a contemporary take on Pierre Choderlos de Laclos's tome at the streamer: "Inspired by the 18th century French novel, Dangerous Liaisons is a modern-day reimagining set in 2025 London. A globe-trotting, heart-wrenching and scintillating erotic thriller, it is an unflinching exploration of power, wealth, race and romance amidst the unapologetic sexual appetites of the British ruling class and the new-money elites." A writers' room has opened for the series with Drew Comins also executive producing for Creative Engine and Fifth Season. (Deadline.com, 10/28)
DUTTON RANCH, THE/MADISON, THE/MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN/LANDMAN/LIONESS/ROAD, THE/TULSA KING/Y: MARSHALS (Various) - Taylor Sheridan has closed a long-term film and television deal with NBCUniversal beginning in 2029. The pact, valued at as much as $1 billion, spells the end of his run at Paramount, home to a plethora of TV series, including the "Yellowstone" universe. Nevertheless, he'll continue at the studio for the next three calendar years. Additionally, Sherdian's producing partner David C. Glasser has also set his 101 Studios shop up at NBCUniversal. FOSTER DADE (Hulu) - Chloe East has scored the female lead on the drama pilot: "Annabeth, who moves through Kennedy with an indecipherable kind of magic - the sort that makes boys fall under her spell before they realize what's happened, and Foster is no exception. She takes Foster under her wing, and their chemistry is undeniable. But beneath her wit and warmth lies something guarded, secrets and sorrows carefully concealed. FOUR SEASONS, THE (Netflix) - Steven Pasquale will recur on the new season as Mark Brett, "a new friend who meets the gang at the Jersey shore during their summer vacation." (Deadline.com, 10/29)
LONG ISLAND COMPROMISE (Apple TV) - The streamer is no longer developing a small screen take on Taffy Brodesser-Akner's novel. Producers plan to shop the project elsewhere. (Variety.com, 10/29)
RIDICULOUSNESS (MTV) - The cable channel has pulled the plug on its lineup staple after 14 years and more than 46 seasons. An unspecified number of new episodes will continue to air into 2026. (TMZ.com, 10/31)
ROMAN LAW (ABC, New!) - Jeremy Svenson has sold a legal drama to the Alphabet: "When her father is exposed as a lifelong fraud who's been practicing law without a license, his once-adoring daughter, who just finished law school to follow in his footsteps, must take over his financially troubled practice to save her family home and keep the man she thought she knew from going to prison." 20th Television is producing. RUNNING POINT (Netflix) - Emmy winner Ray Romano will recur on the series as Norm Stinson, "a basketball savant turned social recluse who will team up with Isla (Hudson) to re-discover his love for the game, and life." He replaces Robert Townsend, who had originally cast in the role. (Deadline.com, 10/28)
SCRUBS (REBOOT SERIES) (ABC) - Tim Hobert has stepped down as co-showrunner of the series due to creative differences. Aseem Batra will assume the solo duties going forward, believed to be after five episodes. (Deadline.com, 10/27)
SHARDS, THE (FX) - Wes Bentley and Evan Rachel Wood are the latest bound for the Ryan Murphy-produced series. Bentley will play Terry, the father of Hayes Warner's Debbie. Wood's role wasn't released. (Deadline.com, 10/29; Variety.com, 10/29)
SOUTHERN BASTARDS (Hulu, New!) - Bill Dubuque and Nia DaCosta have scored a pilot order for a small screen take on Jason Aaron and Jason Latour's comic book series: "Southern Bastards show follows a tenacious military vet into Craw County, Alabama, in search of her estranged father. What she finds is a murderous hornet's nest of organized crime run by the winningest high school football coach in the South." DaCosta will also direct the project with Matt Olmstead, Aaron, Latour, Layne Eskridge, and Gabrielle Nadig likewise executive producing for Onyx Collective, POV Entertainment, Proximity Media, and Fifth Season. FX was behind a previous take sold in 2015 with Scott Rudin among the auspices. (Deadline.com, 10/30)
SPOT, THE (Hulu) - Emmy winners Claire Danes and Ewan McGregor have both signed onto the drama series from writer Ed Solomon and director Ariel Kleiman, succeeding original star Kate Winslet. The Spot "follows a successful surgeon (Danes) and her school teacher husband (McGregor) who begin to suspect she might be responsible for a child's hit-and-run death. Their quest for truth spirals into a web of mounting suspicion and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal." A24 and 20th Television are producing. (Deadline.com, 10/30)
ST. DENIS MEDICAL (NBC) - The show's sophomore run has tapped Adam Rippon as "a male patient who must convince Bruce of his ailments"; Paul Scheer as Ruben, "a brother of a patient who needs a kidney transplant"; Wayne Knight as Dr. Axler, "a gruff cardiologist who frequently butt heads with Ron"; Jessica Lowe as Violet, "a cheery, somewhat odd woman who comes into St. Denis to win back her ex-husband, shocking the St. Denis staff"; and Jared Goldstein as "a technician operating a new health screening machine at St. Denis." STUMBLE (NBC) - The freshman comedy has tapped Busy Philipps as Vicky, "the 20-year-old sister of Peaches (Taylor Dunbar) and the person who raised her"; Sean Kaufman as Holden, "an extremely shy college football player with a crush on Sally (Georgie Murphy)"; and Alfredo Narciso as Krystal's (Anissa Borrego) dad, who "serves as part manager and part CEO of Krystal Enterprises." SUPERFAKES (Peacock) - Ken Leung will star opposite Lucy Liu on the series as Liu's character's husband, Don. (Deadline.com, 10/27)
UNTITLED DESTINATION WEDDING PROJECT (Hulu, New!) - Erin Foster and Adam Countee have sold a new romantic comedy series to the streamer: "The untitled project is described as a sweeping, epic ensemble romantic comedy that follows a group of couples and singles to a lavish, extravagant destination wedding where their stories intersect and collide over the course of one very long weekend." Sara Foster, Oly Obst, and Tom Lassally will also executive produce for 3 Arts Entertainment, Fatigue Sisters Productions, and 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 10/27)
WHO'S IN THE BAND (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet has commissioned a pilot presentation for a new music competition series billed as "a talent search for the next One Direction." The project "will contain a twist on the well-trodden genre, with singers performing the same song, at the same time, in different colored tubes." Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Savan Kotecha are set as the judges with Rei Ami hosting. The test shoot is set for October 30 at Eastbrook Studios in London.
