Pilot Update: March 21
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from various wire reports each morning:

A MINUTE WITH STAN HOOPER (FOX) - Daniel Roebuck has joined Norm Macdonald's comedy pilot.

THE HELP (WB) - Keri Lynn Pratt ("Manchester Prep") will play Veronica in the Warner Bros. TV/Original TV comedy pilot.

KID MAYOR (WB) - Tony winner Christine Ebersole has joined the Frog comedy pilot.

THE LYON'S DEN (NBC) - Rick Ravanello ("Monte Walsh") has joined the cast of the Rob Lowe drama.

NOT A CLUE (A.K.A. CRIMINOLOGY 101) (CBS) - Rick Ravanello has snagged a role in the Eye drama, which now runs under the title "Not a Clue."

SKIN (FOX) - Rachel Ticotin has been added to the cast of the drama pilot.

THE SNOBS (A.K.A. THE MALLARDS) (FOX) - Paget Brewster ("Andy Richter Controls the Universe") has been tapped to star in the FOX comedy, which now runs under the title "The Snobs."

UNTITLED BENJAMIN BENITZ PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Benjamin Benitez ("Without a Trace," "Angel," "The Division") has inked a talent holding deal with ABC to star in a drama series project for the network. Earlier this year, he was selected to perform at both ABC's and CBS' diversity talent showcases and was offered the deal by ABC soon thereafter. The pact is set to run through January. Because it came down late in this year's development cycle, Benitez is expected to be considered for casting replacements on fall series as well as midseason shows.

UNTITLED DAN FINNERTY PROJECT (ABC) - Gerald McRaney ("Major Dad") has been cast in Dan Finnerty's untitled comedy pilot.

UNTITLED FLETT-GIORDANO/RANBERG PROJECT (ABC) - John Benjamin Hickey ("The Anniversary Party") has joined the cast of the untitled half-hour. He'll portray one of two gay men who raised Maggie Lawson's character. Lawson stars as a woman whose politics are left-leaning but ends up dating a conservative man.

UNTITLED FRATERNAL TWINS PROJECT (FOX) - Stephen Tobolowsky has been cast in the untitled twins comedy pilot.
