CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Struggling comedy "Just Shoot Me" is set to return to NBC's schedule after three months of being on hiatus. The series will rejoin the Peacock lineup on April 22 as the network will air 11 fresh installments over the next five weeks.
New episodes will air Tuesdays at 8:00/7:00c and 8:30/7:30c on April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13 and May 20 with its season finale also airing on May 20 at a special time - 9:30/8:30c. No decision has been made as to its future beyond its current season. The news ends speculation NBC was set to shelve the series until the summer months.
To date this season, "Shoot" has averaged just 6.56 viewers, a stunning 54.60% drop from last season when the series aired on Thursday nights following "Will & Grace."
