Pilot Update: April 24
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from various wire reports each morning:

THE DOMESTIC GODDESS HOUR (ABC Family, New!) - The cable channel has given a 13 episode commitment to a new cooking show hosted by "the domestic goddess" herself, Roseanne Barr. The series is something of a pseudo-sequel to her upcoming reality series on parent channel ABC. That series, which debuts this summer, will feature among other things, Roseanne pitching "The Domestic Goddess Hour" to various networks. "Goddess" will then begin airing on the cable channel shortly after the ABC series wraps. Roseanne and R.J. Cutler ("American High") will executive produce both series.

GOING TO COLLEGE (Showtime) - The pay channel has greenlighted 10 episodes (including the pilot) of the documentary/reality series from R.J. Cutler. The series, which follows a group of real-life freshmen at the University of Texas at Austin, will debut this fall. Cutler describes the series as something of a follow-up to his Emmy winning FOX/PBS series "American High."

THE RESIDENTS (TNT) - Some changes are reportedly in store for R.J. Cutler's upcoming reality series. Instead of 13 episodes, it seems the series will instead air as a four hour mini-series. The project chronicles the personal and professional lives of eight to 12 medical residents during their first year out of med school.
