Four to Exit FOX's 'Boston' Next Season
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Just one week after seven regulars were shown the door on ABC's "The Practice," David E. Kelley has made another casting shakeup as four cast members on his FOX series "Boston Public" will not return for its fourth season.

Joey McIntyre, Jon Abrahams, Cara DeLizia and China Shavers, all of whom became regulars in the past season, have been given pink slips from the drama, which moves to Fridays at 9:00/8:00c this fall. A revolving door is nothing new at "Boston Public" however as 13 episodes into its first season both Thomas McCarthy and Joey Slotnick were shown the door. That was followed by another shakeup in which Rashida Jones, Jessalyn Gilsig and Nicky Katt were all let go at the end of its second season (with Katt appearing in a handful of season three episodes to send off his character). In total only five original cast members remain: Loretta Devine, Fyvush Finkel, Anthony Heald, Sharon Leal and Chi McBride.

It is not clear if Kelley plans to add new cast members or focus only on the remaining core cast (which also includes Jeri Ryan and Michael Rapaport) next season.
