CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- USA has pulled the plug on its Western drama "Peacemakers" after one season on the air.
The series stormed out of the gate on July 30 with 5.2 million viewers (4.0 household rating), making it one of the most-watched basic cable debuts in history. By its third week however, more than 40% of its audience had eroded. Industry insiders however say the real cause of "Peacemakers'" death was its older-skewing (50+) audience.
The drama wrapped its run on the cable channel last month.
Charlie Craig, Rick Ramage, Rick Wallace and Larry Carroll were the executive producers of "Peacemakers," which came from Michael R. Joyce Productions.
