UPN Completes Broadcast Networks' Fall Launch Schedule

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- UPN has completed the major broadcast networks' fall launch schedule as the netlet revealed its 2004-05 season start dates today.

The news was announced via press release this afternoon:

Special Preview of "Veronica Mars" To Follow Premiere Of "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesday, Sept. 22; "Veronica Mars" Moves to its Regular Time Period on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 9:00 PM

"Kevin Hill" Makes Its Debut on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 9:00 PM

UPN will roll out the premieres of its new 2004 fall schedule beginning the week of Sept. 20 and continuing through Friday, Oct. 8. UPN's line-up features one returning dramality series, one new and five returning comedy series, and two new and one returning drama series. Plus, UPN continues to present all-new installments of WWE SMACKDOWN! every Thursday.

UPN's Monday night line up, including the new comedy SECOND TIME AROUND (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT), premieres on Sept. 20, and UPN's Tuesday comedies, ALL OF US (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) and EVE (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), debut on Sept. 21.

UPN will utilize the third cycle of the hit series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL to launch both of the Network's new dramas, VERONICA MARS and KEVIN HILL.

First, UPN�s new Tuesday drama VERONICA MARS will have a special preview on Wednesday, Sept. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), following the third cycle premiere of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). VERONICA MARS then moves to its regularly-scheduled time period on Tuesday, Sept. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

KEVIN HILL, starring Taye Diggs ("Chicago"), makes its debut on Wednesday, Sept. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), following the second episode of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.

On Friday, Oct. 8, UPN will present the fourth season premiere of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

Monday, Sept. 20

ONE ON ONE (Monday, 8:00-8:30 PM) enters its fourth season with the dynamic dad and daughter duo of Flex Washington (Flex Alexander), a local sportscaster and ladies man, and the intelligent and outspoken Breanna Barnes (Kyla Pratt). Flex�s childhood friend and neighbor, Duane (Kelly Perine), keeps Flex on his toes with his wild antics, while Breanna�s friends, Sicily (Spirit) and Arnaz (Robert Ri'chard), explore their exciting and sometimes mischievous teen years with her.

HALF & HALF (Monday, 8:30-9:00 PM) enters its third season. At the onset, twenty-something half-sisters Mona (Rachel True) and Dee Dee (Essence Atkins) had only one thing in common -- their father. Though they grew up separately, when these two virtual strangers become neighbors in the same San Francisco apartment building, they realize that despite their different upbringings they share more similarities than they thought.

GIRLFRIENDS (Monday, 9:00-9:30 PM) continues to provide an open, honest exploration of the hot-button issues about family, friends, relationships and life facing women today through the lives of four friends: Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross), Maya (Golden Brooks), Lynn (Persia White) and Toni (Jill Marie Jones). Whether it's embarking on a new career move, reclaiming your independence after a divorce or learning about yourself within relationships with men, GIRLFRIENDS treats them all with tenderness, care and respect.

SECOND TIME AROUND (Monday, 9:30-10:00 PM) stars real-life couple Nicole Parker (�Soul Food�) and Boris Kodjoe (�Soul Food�) as Ryan Muse, a beautiful, free-spirited artist, and Jackson Muse, a handsome, earnest architect, who are enjoying a more romantic, fun-filled second marriage to each other. Robert James (Duane Martin) is an entertainment reporter who balances life with his new blended family, which includes his fianc�e, Tia (Elise Neal), son Bobby Jr. (Khamani Griffin) and his ex-wife Neesee (LisaRaye McCoy).

The series follows participants of various backgrounds, shapes and sizes while they live together in a New York loft and compete in weekly tests as they vie for a modeling contract. STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE (Friday, 8:00-9:00 PM), UPN's prequel to the original �Star Trek,� takes place during the early pioneering days of deep space exploration when interstellar travel is in its infancy and 100 years before Capt. James T. Kirk takes the helm of the famous starship. With continued star-spanning action and spectacular special effects, this new season's will take "Star Trek" into further uncharted territory, while introducing some characters and elements familiar to fans and advancing last season's critically acclaimed storylines, including the mysterious twists in the familiar timeline.
