As Olympic Fever Heats Up, Bravo Set to Examine the Ambition, Sacrifice and Sweat That It Takes to Get There in the New Series 'Sports Kids Moms & Dads' to Air Next Year

[via press release from Bravo]

AS OLYMPIC FEVER HEATS UP, BRAVO SET TO EXAMINE THE AMBITION, SACRIFICE AND SWEAT THAT IT TAKES TO GET THERE IN THE NEW SERIES 'SPORTS KIDS MOMS & DADS' TO AIR NEXT YEAR

BRAVO BEGINS THE SEARCH FOR FAMILIES OF ASPIRING ATHLETES

NEW YORK - August 18, 2004 - Next Year, Bravo will trade in its pageant costumes for sweat suits, voice lessons for strength training and stage moms for soccer moms as it examines the highly competitive world of amateur sports. In line with Bravo's hit series "Showbiz Moms & Dads" and the new series "Showdog Moms & Dads," "Sports Kids Moms & Dads" will focus on children who are born competitors and the families that make incredible-and sometimes even shocking-sacrifices to support them.

Whether it's for the love of their child or the love of the sport, Bravo's "Sports Kids Moms & Dads" will follow its families' daily struggles as their child athletes go through the physically and emotionally exhausting job of training, competing, winning and losing. Witness the price these children and their families pay in blood, sweat and tears as this ground-breaking documentary series unfolds.

Bravo is currently searching the nation for children devoted to careers in football, basketball, gymnastics, hockey, baseball, figure skating, golf, tennis, skateboarding or cheerleading. Families interested in participating in the series can apply by going to bravotv.com.

"Sports Kids Moms & Dads" is produced by World of Wonder ("Showbiz Moms & Dads," "Showdog Moms & Dads") for Bravo. The executive producers are Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and David Perler.
