Burbank, CA - September 1, 2004

THE WB'S THURSDAY LINE-UP TO KICK INTO GEAR ON OCTOBER 7

"DREW CAREY'S GREEN SCREEN" TO FOLLOW HIT COMEDY, "BLUE COLLAR TV" IN THE 8:00 P.M. ET HOUR; BONUS EPISODES OF "ONE TREE HILL" TO AIR AT 9:00-10:00 P.M. ET

The WB Network has locked in its official Thursday launch to the 2004-2005 broadcast season. On October 7, the network will unveil its new lineup, which kicks off with hit first-year comedy, BLUE COLLAR TV from 8:00-8:30 p.m. ET, followed by the debut of DREW CAREY'S GREEN SCREEN SHOW from 8:30-9:00 p.m. ET and a bonus airing of last season's hit drama ONE TREE HILL from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, it was announced today by David Janollari, The WB's President, Entertainment.

"In BLUE COLLAR TV and DREW CAREY'S GREEN SCREEN SHOW, we have a hilarious hour of sketch comedy series with major star power," Mr. Janollari said. "Jeff, Larry and Bill have scored big on Thursdays at 8:00, and Drew Carey proved to be a winner on Thursdays in the past with 'Whose Line Is It Anyway.' It's perfect counter-programming in what is probably the toughest timeslot of the week, and both shows are simply lots of fun."

Before the schedule is locked in, the 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET hour will be occupied by all-BLUE COLLAR TV, all the time. On Thursday, September 9, The WB will air a one-hour BLUE COLLAR TV special. The following three weeks, September 16, 23 and 30, The WB will air back-to-back episodes of BLUE COLLAR TV from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET.

DREW CAREY'S GREEN SCREEN SHOW will debut the following week, Thursday, October 7, at 8:30-9:00 p.m. ET, coinciding with the first of the 22 new episodes of BLUE COLLAR TV that The WB recently ordered, which will air from 8:00-8:30 p.m. ET.

The 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET hour will be occupied on Thursday, September 9 by "Here's Your Sign," a standup comedy special, featuring BLUE COLLAR TV star Bill Engvall. On Thursday, September 16, the time slot will contain the acclaimed new drama, JACK & BOBBY. On Thursday, September 23, The WB will air an encore of the pilot episode of the anticipated new drama THE MOUNTAIN. Beginning on September 30, and throughout the fall, The WB will air bonus runs of its hit drama, ONE TREE HILL from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET.
