BYRON ELIMINATED FROM UPNS "THE PLAYER"
Byron, From Atlanta, is Next To Be Given His Walking Papers
Byron, from Atlanta, was the eighth participant eliminated from UPNs new reality series THE PLAYER. In the shows fifth episode, the remaining six "self-described" players must prove they're high rollers at the casino and impress Miami model Dawn with a gift from their earnings in order to win a date with her.
Early on, Byron angered Dawn when he refused to take out the garbage at her request, but quickly redeemed himself on one of the dates. After a poor showing at the casino, Byron didn't win any points with Dawn when she wasn't too impressed with his gift for her. Later, since he hadn't spent much alone time with Dawn, he went to her bedroom to chat with her. While Dawn appreciated his efforts, she felt that Byron was not being truthful or acting like himself. He was putting up a false front, and his game was a lie. So, he headed into the elimination ceremony unsure of his status. Although he made a plea for why he should stay, Dawn asked him to leave.
THE PLAYER follows a cultural cross-section of guys who find themselves living together in a palatial mansion in South Florida with Dawn and her two beautiful girlfriends. Throughout the hot spots of South Beach and Miami, these self-proclaimed "masters of the opposite sex" will attempt to win over Dawn, with the approval of her girlfriends, as they are thrust into a variety of scenarios with the possibility of sudden death eliminations. By using all of their best dating tactics and interpersonal skills, they must prove themselves worthy of being selected as Dawn's ultimate player and hopefully not hear her dismiss them with the fateful phrase, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."
THE PLAYER airs Wednesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
