LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Two of cable's quieter success stories - E!'s "Dr. 90210" and Nick at Nite's "Fatherhood" - have each been given second season orders of 13 episodes by their respective networks this week.
"90210" has averaged 708,000 viewers on average for its first season, which concludes this Sunday on the cable channel. More importantly, the reality series doubled E!'s primetime average in adults 18-49 during the period. The 13 fresh installments are set to roll out in March of 2005.
As for Nick's "Fatherhood," production on 13 new episodes is underway for broadcast next year. The animated series is currently running the second half of its inaugural season on the network's Tuesday schedule.
